At Hohenwart, coffee and cake are far more than a simple afternoon treat. They are a piece of history and, for many guests, the sweetest moment of the day.
Because our 4-star superior wellness hotel once began as Café Hohenwart - a cosy place that soon became a meeting point for people from Schenna, Meran and beyond. Much of that was thanks to the cakes of Mrs Mair Senior, who, with experienced hands and a great deal of heart, created something special from traditional recipes and simple yet excellent ingredients.
The tradition lives on
Even today, every afternoon between 3 pm and 5 pm, the house fills with the scent of freshly baked treats: apple strudel, cheesecake, strawberry cake, plum tatschi and much more - alongside small savoury delights, all made with care.
It is the perfect moment in the day to pause, to enjoy consciously and to share a beautiful moment together. Some of our guests even visit just for this. Would you like to become part of this little tradition?
