Hohenwart is not an Adults Only hotel in the strict sense - guests of all ages are warmly welcome. The VistaSpa is the only hotel area reserved for guests aged 16 and over. There, adults can enjoy time among themselves and fully unwind. For families, we have a dedicated FamilySpa; here too, peace and relaxation take centre stage. At Hohenwart, everyone has enough space and time for retreat and quiet moments, as well as for active and sociable experiences.

Anyone who has just fallen in love, got engaged, married or is celebrating an anniversary will find exactly the right setting for romantic moments together at Hohenwart. In the VistaSpa, in the alpine-Mediterranean garden, in our cosy restaurant - everywhere you can enjoy privacy while being perfectly looked after. By the way: shared experiences also create closeness, for example during our guided hikes.

Solo travellers are explicitly welcome! Whether happily single or simply travelling alone, in our single rooms or the smaller double rooms also available for single use, you will find everything you need for time away in complete freedom. And then you can shape your days entirely as you wish: a day at the spa, a trip to Meran or a guided hike or bike tour with other guests could all be part of your plans.

We do not describe ourselves as a children’s hotel, but certainly as a family-friendly one! Family rooms and suites, a dedicated FamilySpa, childcare from age 4, a playroom for children and teenagers, a separate children’s menu, countless leisure opportunities nearby and fair child rates make us a favourite holiday home for many families with children.

Yes! Our FamilySpa is specially designed to meet the needs of families seeking relaxation. You will find an indoor pool, whirlpool and baby pool, many cosy corners to unwind, as well as a 25 m sports pool in the Mediterranean garden, where young and old can bask in the sun or lose themselves in a book in the shade of our trees. If mum and dad would like some time to themselves, they are welcome in the VistaSpa (16+), while the kids are in good hands in the supervised playroom.

Separate children’s room, double room with sofa bed, rooms with connecting doors or small double rooms for one parent with a child - you decide which room category suits you best. For stays of 7 days or more, tiered child rates apply depending on age, with children under 2 staying free of charge. During the family advantage weeks from 7 nights, 1 child up to 7 years stays free of charge, all additional children up to 13 years pay €49 in a double room or €69 in a suite (from 14 years: -30%).

The outdoor kids camp on Meran 2000, the bird of prey show at Tyrol Castle, the railway world in Töll, mini golf in Schenna, the animal world at Rainguthof in Gfrill and many other destinations are particularly appealing for families with children, and there is also a wide selection of family-friendly hiking and biking tours.
If you would like to enjoy a massage, a yoga session or a more challenging hike without your children, we offer attentive childcare for all children aged 4 and above during the summer months.
