Stillness. Space. The perfect swing.

Fancy a round of golf for a change?

Golf is not at the core of what we offer - and that is precisely what makes it so enjoyable at Hohenwart. We are not a classic golf hotel in Schenna near Meran, nor are we located directly on a course, but rather among apple orchards, sunny slopes and walking paths.
And yet: a round of golf fits surprisingly easily into your stay here. Perhaps that is exactly why it becomes a small highlight for many of our guests.

Perfectly integrated

As a founding member of the nearby Lana golf course, we can offer guests of our golf hotel near Meran, South Tyrol, special conditions on this beautifully sunny 9-hole course set among apple orchards. And as a partner of Golf in Südtirol you also receive a 20% green fee reduction at all partner courses. We are happy to assist you with booking tee times and lessons and to recommend the right club for your needs.

Golf is the perfect sport for rediscovering your inner balance.

Our favourite courses

Between orchards, forests and the Dolomites lie courses that could hardly be more diverse. Each one different, each one well maintained, each one an experience - for beginners and experienced golfers alike. Discover them all as a guest at our golf hotel near Meran.

  • Gutshof Brandis (Lana): in a sunny location, surrounded by apple orchards, this almost flat 9-hole course is popular with both beginners and advanced players. The course is playable almost all year round.
  • Passeier.Meran (St. Leonhard in Passeier): modern and sporty, this 18-hole course is open from March to November. Water hazards, a driving range and varied training programmes provide plenty of variety.
  • Petersberg: surrounded by enchanting larch forests, you can play here between April and November. The 18-hole course features a driving range, two putting greens, a pitching green, a bunker and a golf academy.
  • The Blue Monster (Eppan):  Golfclub Eppan only opened in 2016. The flat, links-inspired course set among apple orchards owes its name to the many water features. A driving range, putting green, pitching green, bunker and clubhouse are available.
  • Dolomiti Golf (Sarnonico): this 50-hectare facility on the border with Trentino offers 18 holes as well as a 4-hole executive practice course, driving range, putting green and pitching green. Almost every tee offers spectacular views of the surrounding villages and mountains.
  • St. Vigil Seis (Seis am Schlern): 18 holes framed by the majestic peaks of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, gentle alpine meadows and lush forests. On Europe’s largest high alpine pasture, golf enthusiasts will find everything their hearts desire.
