In our gourmet hotel near Meran, alpine roots meet Mediterranean influences, regional products meet fine craftsmanship and long-standing traditions meet modern inspiration. Our cuisine leaves a lasting impression without ever being loud. With our ¾ pampering board, you can look forward to three culinary moments each day - each one a true delight.
1 - The morning
The day begins with a generous breakfast, where you are invited to take your time. From 7.30 am to 11 am, you will find fresh bread rolls, local dairy and meat specialities, South Tyrolean speck, high-quality jams from Alpe Pragas, honey, fruit, fresh juices and warm dishes at the buffet. All the little things you need to start your day well.
2- The afternoon
Between 3 pm and 5 pm, it turns sweet. Or savoury. Homemade cakes, fresh salads and a warm soup await you at the famous Hohenwart Marende, where it all once began. Here you can find out more about our “Kaffee & Kuchen”.
3 - The evening
From 7 pm, we serve the specialities we are known for: a 5-course à la carte menu, based on the finest regional ingredients, with Mediterranean and international accents, and the unmistakable signature of our head chef. To accompany it: the perfect wine pairing.

Board options
Most guests choose our ¾ pampering board. We can wholeheartedly recommend this complete culinary experience with breakfast, afternoon Marende and gourmet dinner. However, if you prefer a more flexible stay, you can opt for a room with breakfast – the sweet and savoury Marende is, of course, still included.
Culinary highlights
Some evenings, the kitchen tells its own stories - with antipasti buffets, dessert worlds and themed nights that open up new flavours time and again. Be sure to try our lamb from our own farm, the beer from our family brewery, fine oils and vinegars from the region, and herbs freshly picked from our garden.
Special dietary requirements
Vegetarian dishes are always part of our menu. Vegan options or meals tailored to specific intolerances can be prepared with care - simply let us know when booking. That way, every guest can enjoy both variety and a true sense of wellbeing throughout their stay.
