A house with history
Hohenwart has grown - inside and out
What today is a place of calm, warmth and arrival once began quite simply: with an idea and the courage to turn it into something special. A place where you feel welcome. A place that endures. From the very beginning, our hospitality has been more than a necessity. It has been a conviction. The first guests arrived as strangers and left as friends. With every renovation, every newly designed space and every decision, the aim has always been to give this feeling more room.
How it all began
From the first bed and breakfast in Schenna in 1957, a house emerged that has grown with every generation - not only in its walls and spaces, but in spirit. From the main house to Haus Traube, from Haus Traube to Haus Christine: three houses, united by attitude, heart and a garden that embraces it all.
What truly touches people? Closeness, reliability and warmth.
From an idea to a home
Much has changed, the essentials have remained, and much good has been added.
The family that has shaped Hohenwart for over 60 years. The team and the guests who bring it to life every day. And the mindset with which it all began: genuine hospitality, a love of people and nature, and the pursuit of something special.
