A small guesthouse, one of the first of its kind in Schenna. An idea. And the desire to welcome people. The first rooms are prepared. The first guests arrive. The beginning of an attitude that continues to guide our daily work to this day.

What began small grew larger - not out of ambition, but out of need. New buildings emerged, new spaces, more room for encounters and tranquillity, for enjoyment and activity. Hohenwart grew with its guests and with the people who shaped it.

A wellness area that is not only designed, but felt. Wood. Light. Stillness. Height. The VistaSpa became a symbol of lasting calm. Of relaxation that endures. Of wellness in a new dimension, with an extra sense of wellbeing.

The idea: to create outdoor spaces that are just as grounding as those indoors. Palms, cypresses, olives. Alpine greenery meets a Mediterranean climate. The garden became a place within a place - connecting and grounding, calming and revitalising, allowing both gaze and thoughts to wander.

Hohenwart is not primarily made of walls, but of people. The family that has shaped the house for over 60 years. A team of more than 80 hosts. And the next generation, carrying these values forward - with care and awareness.
