Our popular family rooms Labers in the House Traube are actually celebrating their 30th birthday – hard to believe, isn’t it? Of course, they are not entirely “original” from 1996: over the years, a modern climate system has been added, the bathrooms have been completely refurbished, and Ms Christine has lovingly complemented and replaced selected furnishing elements. One thing, however, has remained – and very deliberately so: the beautiful solid wood furniture that has always defined our Labers rooms. Over all these years, we could not (and did not want to!) part with it. Today, it has become iconic – and it is here to stay.

This Winter, our local joinery partner Brida will carefully dismantle the furniture and lovingly upcycle it. In its new look, it will blend harmoniously into the new room and lighting concept – contemporary, warm, and yet with the familiar retro charm that so many of you value. This is how the new, spacious Junior Suites Labers are created: not everything has to be brand new, but thoughtfully adapted to the present day. Or, as Mr Mair Senior used to say:

“Those who do not move with the times are moved by time.”
