At the VistaSpa, there are all of 1200 square meters entirely dedicated to your wellbeing. In fact, we can best describe the award-winning Hohenwart Wellness Centre as follows:
Opened in 2011, the Spa represents a singular haven of absolute tranquility and relaxation right in the heart of the South Tyrol. In line with the Mair Family philosophy – namely, the combination of traditional hospitality with contemporary innovation – the VistaSpa partly derives its unique character from the synergy created between the natural materials such as woods and slates and glass and felt materials that are utilized in the finishes. Organic pastels blend harmoniously with bright reds, oranges and greens, providing a soothing atmosphere.
The VistaSpa bases itself on the concept of naturalness combined with a personalized approach. The concept of balancing the mind, body and spirit, is combined with ancient beauty secrets and is one of the main VistaSpa attractions. You'll be able to enjoy the special treatments in the hands of our expert therapists, such as the specially designed grape therapy and you'll benefit from cell purification, improved body performance, a great sense of wellbeing and youthful regeneration! The treatments utilizing extracts of rose petals provide intensive nourishment to the skin, with an additional balming effect, thanks also to the rose oil scent. The Ancient Stone Massage utilizes silver quartzite, essences and natural mountain elements from the South Tyrol together with the old stone energy of the Taurus Mountains. Pure water from the South Tyrolean mountain springs combine with Alpine herbs to provide the basis of treatments such as Belvita and G'sund. The VistaSpa team will certainly help you choose the treatment that is best suited to you.
The treatment rooms for beauty massages and the Private Spa are located on the first floor of the Wellness Centre. One floor up, on the second floor, there are various saunas and steam baths, such as the Tyrolean sauna, a steam bath with roses, a steam bath with brine and bio Ifingersauna and the Jungbrunnen shower area. There is also a small wellness library containing all kinds of literature on the subject for interesting reading.
When designing the Spa, the architects and interior decorators gave free rein to their imagination in the setting aside of recreational space: they came up with the Alpenglühen relaxation room which is striking due to its comfortable living area. Then there is the Traumkulisse relaxation area with loungers arranged in terraced fashion, in front of a magnificent, panoramic window, showcasing the picturesque castle and mountain vista. Rocking chairs, relaxing music and soft lighting are the main relaxation features in the Sounds of Silence room.
On the roof terrace, there is a panoramic sauna overlooking the lawn, an open air private Spa with a relaxation area together with one of the Hohenwart highlights: a 50 square meter salt-water pool, from which you can enjoy a 360° view of the magnificent Venosta Valley natural landscape and the Dolomite peaks silhouetted against the sky. And when you need to cool down, drinks and snack are served in all three floors.
The VistaSpa is accessed directly from the hotel and is located in a separate building, in perfect harmony with the natural environment.
Please note: to ensure optimal tranquility and relaxation for our guests, only persons from 16 years of age are permitted into the VistaSpa.
