Wellness in our Vista Spa
In May 2011, we opened our new spectacular ‘
VistaSpa‘ – a quiet, flood-light oasis, situated on three levels, with great views of Castle Schenna, the Ilfinger mountain and the city of Meran. Besides a number of saunas, steam baths, treatment rooms and creatively designed quiet areas on two levels, our clients can also avail of a large open-air salt water pool, a sauna with panoramic views and an open-air private spa area on the roof terrace. For long-distance swimmers, there is also a
new 25 metre outdoor pool.
The VistaSpa has been divided into
three areas.
On the
first level, there are rooms for beauty and massage treatments, as well as two private spas.
On level
two, we offer a number of saunas and steam baths, our Tyrolean perspiration lounge, the Ilfinger biological sauna, a roses and salt steam bath, as well as quiet rooms (‘Dream view, ‘Alpine glow’, ‘Sound of Silence’).
On the
roof terrace, our guests will be spoilt with a large green area, our ‘360’ salt water pool, a panoramic sauna, as well as an open-air spa and quiet zone. The natural surroundings provide 360 degree panoramic views over the Etsch Valley and the surrounding mountain world.

At Hotel Hohenwart, we always feel that tradition and cordiality are important and should be combined with innovation and modern style.
Right from the start, tradition and a heartfelt welcome coupled with innovation and modern awareness were important at Hotel Hohenwart. The same is true for our new VistaSpa. ‘The outside appearance of the building with its dark facade was designed to integrate the monolith harmoniously and discreetly into the surrounding area. The entire technology is completely separate from the outside of the building, which guarantees our guets absolute quietness and relaxation inside the Wellness area’, says architect Claudio Palla.
During the construction of the building, emphasis was given to bring natural light to the interior. The valley front has been kept in glass and offers the visitors stunning beauty and fantastic views of Castle Schenna.
